Kurinuki creations
What to expect:
In this workshop, we’ll explore Kurinuki - a traditional Japanese technique where unique forms are carved out of a solid block of clay rather than built up. Working with rich black clay, we’ll start with a simple block and gradually carve, hollow, and shape it into a small set of vessels. We can create a set of 2 or 3 pieces - cups, bowls, small vases, or a mix of forms - each emerging slowly through the act of removing material and each truly unique. The process is intuitive and meditative, allowing textures, marks, and imperfections to naturally become part of the final piece. Nothing needs to be perfect - each object grows from the rhythm of your carving and decisions along the way. Friday, July 10th, 18:00 - 20:00 ✨ Explore different kurinuki techniques, textures, decoration and unique details ✨ No experience needed ✨ 70CHF - All materials, tools, guidance, drinks, snacks, firings, and good vibes included ✨ Workshop is held in English 📦 Pick-up: Your finished piece will be ready in 2 - 4 weeks Come solo, bring a friend, or make a date of it and enjoy relaxing evening with clay!
